A Brief History Of Friendship
It's been a year,
365 days of exploring new territory,
Of discovering and rediscovering new galaxies,
It took 3 weeks of floating aimlessly before I found my star,
A acquaintance with an old friend,
We were together after an age apart,
But soon my star began to wander, to explore as I had done,
Trying to form new constellations from mis-matched puzzle pieces,
Leaving me in the dark,
Soon another star fell into my path,
She helped me search for the first and there we found her among a new constellation,
A constellation with open arms for a star and a lonely astronaut,
For a time the galaxy was at peace,
A perfect puzzle of a constellation,
But now a year on,
2 constellations have merged,
They have tangled, leaving me torn,
Placing me back where I was 365 days ago,
Where I didn't want to return,
I am determined not to give up.
(This poem is a symbolical look at what has happened the past year for me friendship wise. I have lost friends, made friends and searched endlessly. You get to skip the hurt and confusion and just read the poem. Lucky you.)
