Dubai Diaries - 02/06/17
Written on 3rd June
15 : 50 (GMT) I may now be on my way home but there are still diaries to write. For my final day in Dubai, I went to Madinat Jumeirah which is a large complex on the edge of Jumeirah beach with hotels, restaurants and an indoor souk. I bought some more stuff: a notebook (because you can never have too many) and a lantern. I also went on a boat tour around he complex and got some lovely views of the Burj Al Arab. The afternoon was spent at the water park where I went on the final dinghy ride, the Zoomerango (actual name, I'm not making it up). It's a group ride for up to 5 people where you go along a slide for a bit before dropping at a nearly vertical angle and going up the sides. I also managed to get lost on the Rapids and fall out of the dinghy on the wave ride. It was a nice afternoon and for once it was a nice temperature, not unbearably hot like usual. For my final meal at Atlantis, for this trip at least, I went to the shore which is one of the two identical poolside restaurants around the Royal Pool. Side note : I actually remembered to bring my phone to breakfast with me this morning so was able to take pictures of this amazing and completely accurate miniature of he hotel and it's surroundings. I have started a graphics collection based off it that should be put in the next few months)
