Dubai Diaries - 31/05/17

22 : 20 (GZT) Whereas yesterday was exploring 'new' Dubai, today was Bur Dubai and the old souks. Firstly though, I went to the Lost Chambers aquarium which was on site. That was good and I especially enjoyed just being able to sit and contemplate with the fish swimming around you. After a few hours at the pool (where I got a henna, I plan to get another one tomorrow at the desert safari), I got a taxi to the original souks. At first I felt a bit out of my comfort zone but after that I really enjoyed it. I got a little boat with no edges across the river and even mixed my own perfume. I was there at sunset - when the fasting during Ramadan is broken - so was able to see the large sheets on the floor with food ready for Iftar. Once back at the hotel I had halloumi cheese for dinner at one of the restaurants, halloumi cheese is my favourite food by the way.
