Lauren Wills - After #SAResort

I'm back from the Resort!

Long story short, I kind off got fired after pushing those teens into the pool... Elena was really mad and decided to fire me which I is fair considering what I did and and all the legal papers she probably had to fill out afterwards.

Anyway, since getting back I have been able to take up gardening full time! I work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the Von Haunt Estate as a gardener which is a job I truly love. The gardens there are absolutely beautiful and there is a really nice team too. I often end up talking to guests about the gardens and informing them on different flowering times, plant conditions etcetera.

The rest of the time I am hired out as an on-call gardener. It's been interesting so far as I get to work with so many different types of gardens. Since signing up, I have had at least 20 jobs and my favourite has to be a balcony (the man lived in a flat) with this gorgeous jungle/mystical/fantasy kind of style. It was incredible! Another reason I remember it was because the man who lived there took me on a date the next week... After Lewis' death, I never intended to 'find love' again. I thought it would be wrong to but I had a feeling that Lewis was urging me to go out with him, so I did. I'll be honest though, the date was dreadful! The food at the restaurant was digesting and so were this man's table manners! Plus, he was far too rude to be my partner... That didn't put me off though, I've been on several dates since and always keep a picture of Lewis in my handbag to give me a bit of courage. No matter how many dates I go on though, I'll never 'settle down' for a very simple reason; no-one can replace Lewis...

When I'm not at the Von Haunt Estate or at other people's gardens or on dates or thinking about Lewis, I'm in my own garden. Spending time in the tropical sun at the resort made me want my own little piece of paradise when I got home so with some help from Lewis and my bank I was finally able to buy a house! I think it has a Spanish/Portuguese feel to it. I have have spent the last few weeks building my perfect garden and it has turned out to be my own piece of paradise. I can relax here and be creative, all my worries feel like they float away whenever I walk through the doors.

In the end, #SAResort did give me a fresh start even if I was fired on the first week. It really seems like life is returning to normal. My life will never be the same as it was a few years ago and in a few years time, it might be different again. That's why I don't believe things can ever be 'back to normal', they can only find a new and improved normal...
