Thea - #09

The day got off to it's usual start, me waking up early and making breakfast. Then Brendan waking up grumpy because he's hungry.

I made him some pancakes as a treat before helping him get dressed and heading off to the store... with Brendan...

While I was setting everything up, Brendan was contently sitting in the corner either on his tablet or playing with his bricks.

I failed to take into consideration that people would probably like to see Brendan, therefore, as soon as I opened the store people were around him. Some were talking to him, some were cooing and some were even playing with his toys!

Not surprisingly, Brendan wasn't best pleased and started to cry. I heard him and rushed to his side to comfort him.

I decided that trying to keep Brendan away from customers was a bad idea so instead I let him have the run of the store... What a bad idea that turned out to be...

I tried to continue running the store normally...

But it it seems life decided to have a go at me today. Emilee was not performing to the standard I would expect, she was ignoring customers, checking her phone... It really frustrated me as if having a toddler running around wasn't stressful enough!

After a slightly harsh reminder, Emilee got her focus back and was making sales with the help of Brendan...

For a brief moment, it felt like things were going smoothly so I went to restock some items and leave Emilee and Brendan to it but I soon as I got back I saw this...

Why!? Yes I know it's cute that Brendan's hugging someone because he's 3 and he's cute, but this person is a complete stranger to him! I called him over to me and picked him up.

I checked my watch but to my annoyance there was still an hour before closing time. By this point, I was tired, stressed and in need of a bath so I closed early...

Before I could go home though, I saw that some of the tables had become dirty so I quickly cleaned them.

Brendan didn't like waiting though, I hadn't even finished before he was stomping his feet and screaming.

I decided in the end to call it a day and take my little monster home...

I tucked him into bed before having a relaxing bath...

From me and from Thea,

Thank For Reading

And

Goodbye
