Thea - #05

The first night was better than I expected. I of course had to get up a few times but it was still far less than I thought.

I had a lot to do at the store today so I hired a nanny to come and supervise Brendan.

He arrived about 20 minutes later and I spoke to him for a while before I went just to make sure I liked him.

Pleased with the nanny I left for work...

I have been keeping a bit of a secret about the store, I may or may not have ordered lots of new stock to replace the antiques...

The old stock (no pun intended) has been moved to a sale rack to make way for the new range of wellness stock I ordered!

I have recently become really interested in this kind of stuff and have decided to take it up as a hobby as well as a work based interest. When Emilee arrived I told her about the plans and she seemed a bit skeptical at first but I hoped to persuade her by the end of the day...

Before I opened, I did some stock updates just to make sure we were ready for the day.

I was slightly concerned that people would be a bit startled by the sudden change but fortunately it was received really well ans the new stock was flying off the shelves. One of my new 'store friends' even offered to take me to the spa when I had a free day!

Just before lunch, I sneaked out the back to text the nanny to see how Brendan was getting on...

'Hi. It's Brendan's-'

I hesitated as I went to write mum...

I deleted the message so far and tried again...

'Hi Mathias, I just wanted to see how Brendan was? It's hard spending time away from him.

Thea'

Within minutes I received a reply,

'I know how you feel. Brendan has been sleeping soundly since you left and I am just about to wake him up and feed him. Hope this helps you to relax a bit...

I quickly thanked him and put my phone in my pocket. As I turned to go back inside, I saw Emilee running at me; looking both shocked and amused at the same time.

E : Thea! You have to see this!

She grabbed my arm and pulled me inside where I was greeted with this sight...
