Muellers - Ep. 7
This morning was stressful! I had 3 hours to print of leaflets, tickets, find decorations, tidy up (Lou was never going to it) and all this was before Abi came to help me get ready. I wore the denim dress with eye-shadow, lipstick, hair tied up and a white rose. Lou, Abi and I set up whilst the people came flooding in. Among a crowd of people I didn't know I spotted Hun, his sister May, his mum Mary and his dad Mark. They all gave me a little wave as they passed.
After about 1 hour every bench was full up, and there was a crowd of thirty either sitting or standing at the back.
Abi applied some more make-up to me before I wandered onto the stage and was greeted by applause. I was thinking to myself : this is quite nice, I could get used to being appreciated. I smiled and looked about the crowd. As I lifted my violin up to play I spotted Susanna at one of the benches, it threw me a little but I began nevertheless.
Every single moment of the 30 minute show was heaven. I closed my eyes and played better than I had ever done before.
As abruptly as it had began it ended, I bowed for the final time and waltzed off stage. Abi, Hun and Lou were all waiting for me and we embraced in a group hug.
"That was amazing Connie!"
"You should go and talk to the audience"
"Oh yeah, I saw daddy's new girlfriend"
"I'll be back in a minute then you lot"
I walked into the sea of people and was showered by remarks of, 'well done', 'that was brilliant' and 'good job'. One shout got my attention though.
"Constance! It's Susanna!"
I searched the crowd for her before walking over to her.
"That was fantastic Constance!"
"You can call me Connie. Why are you here?"
"Just because your not my biological daughter doesn't mean that I don't care about you. I wanted to see you thrive."
"Oh my, really? Thank you! Where's dad and Lillie?"
"Your father and I are no longer together. And Lillie is at her friend's"
"Oh I'm sorry to hear that."
"Oh thank you sweetie."
"So what are the living arrangements now?"
"Lillie and I live in an apartment block"
"Didn't dad move in with you though?"
"Yes. He did..."
"So..."
Hun came behind me and tapped me on the shoulder, "can we talk for a minute?"
"Okay. Sorry Susanna I'll be back in a minute"
"Please call me Sue"
I smiled as Hun lead my through the trees and bushes to a sweet little clearing.
"Now Connie..."
"Yes..."
"How are you feeling right now?"
I gave him a look, "fine, why?"
"No reason, ice-breaker..."
"Your nervous about something. Just tell me!"
"Okay, here it goes. We have been friends for years haven't we? And neither of us have ever considered the obvious. So..."
I interrupted him with this
"I know Hun"
We looked straight into each other's eyes but this time it was Hun who went in first.
Neither of us wanted to move so we stayed like that for a long time until Hun pulled away and held my hands.
"I'm going to take you on a date."
"Okay."
"Um... Is Friday okay for you?"
"Your nervous again. Friday, you chose the restaurant and pay. You also pick me up at seven o'clock. Got that?"
He smiled at me and nodded.
Phew! What a day!

A/N
This part has been a long time coming I know. And unfortunately I'm going to reduce The Muellers to once a week (perhaps two if I have time) as well as any other blog that I have time to do e.g. a CAS, challenges. So basically one episode of Muellers a week and one 'bonus' blog a week. As my friend Miranda Hart says, 'Relax Within A Structure'. Anyway I hope you enjoyed this part as always I love to hear your opinions. Thanks for reading.
Bye
