Muellers - #6

I need to start thinking about my life. About my future as well as Lou's. I need to think about my dreams. At the moment I am not going to school so that I can take care of Lou, the house and the bills. But if I'm not going to school then that means that I can focus on my violin skills and maybe have my first gig.

So I went to the park whilst Lou was at school to clear my mind and I obviously took my violin; I saw that the bandstand was empty so I went up there and played my violin.

I knew right there and then that this was the perfect place to host my first gig. When school was over I went and picked Lou up as well as Hun and Abigail. Whilst Hun and Abi were getting something out of the car I told Lou my idea and played my violin for her.

"It's perfect."

"Good. I'm glad you like it. Oh, if mum could see me now."

"I don't remember mum."

I froze where I was, facing away from Lou, I was annoyed but I knew that she wouldn't know or remember anything about mum.

"She died on our birthday Lou ; I don't think that you would remember anything about her."

"Yeah, but I want to know."

I sighed and turned to face her.

"What do you want to know?"

"How did mum die?"

My mind flashed to the newspapers, the news shows, the radio.

"How?"

Lou nodded. I saw Hun and Abigail walking towards us and quickly looked at Lou and said,

"I don't know"

Hun came over and pecked me on the cheek. I showed Him pictures on my phone of how beautiful this place is decorated and he thought it was brilliant that I was pursuing my dreams.

We all sat down together and discussed it.

"I think it's amazing!" shrieked Abi

"Yeah, we need to start organising." mentioned Hun

"I can make tickets and posters with my new felt tips." piped in Lou

"Cool, I'm glad that you're all very supportive but one thing at a time"

"But Connie we all know what's most important..."whispered Abi

"What?"

"Getting you an outfit!"

Okay I love Abi and all, she's one of my best friends but she is a real fashion and beauty guru. She loves it all so I knew that this could be a painful shopping trip.

We got to the shop and we both sat down on the sofa.

"So Connie I've found some outfits for you

but you can try on you favourite first."

Outfit number 1:

"Since I was a little girl I've wanted to wear this for a gig."

"Connie, you look absolutely stunning in that, but I think that it's a little bit too posh for a violin concert on a bandstand in your local park."

"Yeah, I see what you mean."

Outfit number 2 :

"I know that I said that the last one was too posh, well I think that this one is too casual. Violin is quite a classy instrument in my opinion."

"Yeah."

Outfit number 3 :

"Maybe"

"Really that's all you have to say"

"Yes"

"Well it makes a nice change"

Final Outfit :

"Oh Connie, it's perfect!"

"You think?"

"Yeah! Add some make-up and hair accessories and you're done"

As you can probably see I scrapped the 'Dear diary' part but that's just so that I can have more flexibility when I'm writing. Also in the next part I'm going to limit pictures to 5, this means that posts will be up more often and that the quality of writing should be higher. Anyway thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed it and watch out for the next part.

Bye
